Some of the creations are unique and immortal. They never loose their value,
on the contrary with the passage of time their message assumes added
significance. Ramayana is one such book.
Ramayana has attracted and inspired innumerable people since ages. Lord Ram
and Sita have found place in the heart of people not only in India but all
around the globe irrespective of their religion. The epic Ramayana is one of
the most popular books for people of all walks of life and of all ages –
from kids to adults.
Lots of people have written volumes on Ramayana. So how ‘Samarpan’ differs
from other books? The main difference can be said in the manner in which
this book is written. Unlike other books, this book is in novel form and
therefore makes interesting reading for the common readers. At the same
time, this book is based mainly on Valmiki Ramayana unlike Ramcharitmanas on
which most of the books are based. In order to highlight the message, Shri
Yogeshwarji has made changes at some places. Some of the characters like
Urmila and Mandodari have been given added importance then the more popular
Tulsidas’s Ramcharitmanas.
Written in two parts, ‘Samarpan’ will make interesting reading for
everybody.
